Senior Automation Test Engineer OSS/BSS

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of requirements (use cases, product specifications etc.) and design of test cases
• Analysis of testing areas in OSS/BSS which are subject to automation
• Analysis of existing tools and selection of a suitable tool for automated testing
• Automation of functional testing - development and support of test scripts
• Execution of automated tests and defect tracking
• Reporting on test execution (regular progress reports, final summary reports) and defect reports
• Creation and support of test documentation (test plans, test cases/scripts, check-lists, traceability matrix, test summary reports)
• Participation in defining test strategy and test planning, test-related risks identification and mitigation activities; proposals for test automation
• Work with project team members (architecture, integration, infrastructure, deployment, configuration, migration, operations) regarding any test-related issues and test environments
• Support and consulting the Customer during user acceptance testing by Customer
• Communications with Base Line Test Team regarding testing issues and test automation tools
• Participation and assistance in Performance Testing
• Assistance in writing technical documentation, user manuals and supporting documentation

Requirements (Education & Experience):

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent
• 3+ years experience in test automation or development in telecom/OSS/BSS
• Deep knowledge of functional test automation tools (Selenium, HP Quick Test Professional, IBM Rational Functional Tester, Test Complete etc.)
• Experience with test calls generators like TTCN is a plus
• Deep knowledge of testing methodology and test documentation
• Knowledge of software development life cycle, version control systems, continuous integration and build automation systems
• Experience of test documentation creation (test plans, test cases, test reports)
• Experience with test management & defect-tracking systems (IBM CLM, HP ALM, MS TFS, Test Link, Test Rail, Jira, Bugzilla, Redmine etc.)
• Experience with SQL, PL/SQL (experience with NoSQL DBs is a plus)
• Knowledge of OOP, SOA, protocols & languages HTTP, SOAP, WSDL, REST, XML, JSON
• Experience with SOAP, REST web-services
• Good communication skills, ability to work in multiple cultures and mixed teams
• Quickly-learned, ability to work in limited terms
• English is mandatory (fluent Russian or Ukrainian is a plus)
